Saka Dawa Ninge
Nine is a profound practice that purifies negative karma through chanting, mantras and guided visualizations of 1,000-Armed Chenrezik. Saka Dawa is the single most holy day of Tibetan Buddhism, commemorating the birth, enlightenment and death parinirvana of Buddha Shakyamuni. The effects of virtuous actions such as fasting are multiplied on this day.
