Tsedrup is a traditional practice that originated in the Thrangu Monastery in Tibet and carries great blessings. It is practiced every year in both Thrangu monasteries and in KTD. It is dedicated to the flourishing of the Dharma, world peace and the well-being of all sentient beings. The core text of this puja is a terma by Guru Rinpoche, discovered by Yongey Mingyur Dorje.
The purpose of the 7-day intensive retreat is to develop aspirations for good health and long life for our gurus, to overcome obstacles to long life, to prolong life and to strengthen life energy. It is a practice associated with Buddha Amitayus and refers to tantric practices in which method and wisdom unite to quickly achieve enlightenment.
We are organizing the retreat together with Lama Zangmo from Karma Triyana Dharmachakra, who is coming to visit us for the third time.
Lama Zangmo is a student of Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche and has completed the traditional 3.5 year retreat at the Karme Ling Retreat Center three times under his guidance.
